The Chevy Cruze diesel may be the only one left. This surprised me and saddened me at the same time. The front end is best described as unfortunate but otherwise, not bad looking. The price isn’t too bad either at ~$25K.

Can’t do it. Too many bad experiences with long term quality with Chevy products in my family.

To be fair, I’m not all that impressed with the route my 2015 Mazda 3 hatch is going either. Getting some suspension noise at 51k miles.

I’m getting a little play in my 3's suspention too but given the horrible excuses for roads I commute on every day I’m not surprised

A friend of mine had the previous gen Cruze with the diesel. He is a GM fanboy and even works for them so he is pretty aplogetic for thier shortcomings and exact words on his diesel Cruze were “Other than the engine, this whole car is garbage”. The new one looks better and the stick sho uld help but I just can’t.

These are so ugly, Chevy has already burned me with their garbage quality, and this is a Daewoo (not known for quality) that has suffered intense cost cutting from GM accountants.

In spite of what they are, I wouldn’t be able to do it.

Most of the reviews I’ve read point out that, despite the great numbers it puts down (torquey diesel, fancy brakes, stick shift), it falls way short on the “fun-to-drive” intangibles.

I’ll take a Hyundai Veloster Turbo for $3k less.

Isn’t this the Chevy version of the Vauxhall/Opel Astra?

I mean not the same but the Chevy interpretation of the Vauxhall Astra?

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Strange cross over is the Cruze saloon is sold as an Astra, Holden Astra in Australia.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

The Astra in the U.K. is sold as manualor auto, petrol or diesel.

Looking at Autotrader they have 41 diesel autos, 466 diesel manuals, 45 petrol autos and 986 petrol manuals.

That’s:

86 autos and 1,452 manuals,

507 diesels and 1,031 petrols.

That’s just the hatchbacks.

There is also the estates.
